I’m only using my new KX-TG4053B for a few weeks and thus far it meets all my expectations.
I live in a two story concrete home with a reinforced concrete floor between the floors. With my previous phone reception in the upstairs bedroom was weak as the base unit was in the ground floor.
The new KX-TG4053B enables me to put the range extender at the top of the stairs and the reception in excellent.
We (my wife and myself) are low-tech phone users and probably will never use all the features that this phone provides so my review relates to the most important features:
- Clear sound
- Ease of installation and use
- Large and bright dispaly, large lit keys and most important large font.
- Clear speaker
All these features are of very high quality.
This is a very good phone.
I live on a small farm. This phone system allows me to carry the phone to the mail box the barn ou around by the pond. More than 400 feet from the receiver. Also the we can use more than one handset at a time. The wife my son and I can all talk to friends and family at the same time. This system works better than I hoped for. A + A++. I’m thinking of buying an extra range extender and 2 more handsets to further utilize the versatility of this wonderful product. Buy it I promise you won’t be sorry.
A few quick hits on this amazing phone system:
-Each handset has speakerphone capability.
-The range (with the included extender) is amazing, going far beyond what my previous phone system would.
-The answering system plays the live message over all handsets using the speakerphone function, which is good for screening calls.
-Each handset displays battery bars (like a cell phone), which helps to keep charging in check.
-Listening to messages at the base station is much quicker than with my previous system, which would read out several irrelevant things before getting to the message itself.
Bottom line: I bought this for the range, and have been blown away by the extras and simply how advanced this system is compared to my old phone system.
I moved into a recently renovated house and there were no phone jacks in it. When the phone company installer came, he suggested that I could save some money if he didn’t install a lot of phone jacks and that I should buy a phone with extender phone jacks. That turned out to be a perfect solution. Once the base phone is plugged in, the other phones require only putting in batteries and plugging in. Now with one phone jack I have phones on every floor of my house. My favorite features are the talking caller i.d., the speakerphone, and the ability to set an alarm.
Absolutly love this system. Has a lighted key pad,lg #s on display & call pad & even has a talking caller ID

Nice phone, easy to use, cute design (my wife gave me 5 stars). I have this phone for almost 3 weeks and is working very good. If you live in a concrete house I recommend the range extender, with this you will have full range around the house and outside the house. The keypads iluminate orange when the phone ring or when you dial. In the picture the screen does not look nice, but when you have it on your hand it look very good. It also have intercom, you can communicate with anyone in the house. For me Panasonic is my number 1 brand. If you’re looking for a functional phone for the price this is excellent
